| 7/09 | Above: When you have a misfire you are supposed to stop shooting; right? These stuck bullets were removed from the bore of a rifle with heat, they are not all in the photo but we counted 17 fully formed or blobs-of-nearly-bullets plus those large melted piles of lead! We figured it must have been 19-20 shots all told. Now, the rifle has a 20" barrel and the magazine held ten shots - what does that tell you? God bless Uberti, anytime you think thier products are not strong remember this one; the 1873 action held just fine and the barrel never bulged. The guy only stopped shooting when the last cartridge failed to chamber because the barrel was full!!!! |
| 11/08 | The Honor Bracelet "When
our Son-in-law, Sgt. Anthony Anderson was called for his
2nd tour of duty in Iraq, we
wanted to do something special for our daughter to honor
his service to our country. We commissioned Courtney
Brownewell of Mooresville, NC to design and make this
bracelet as a symbol of his dedicated service in the
North Carolina National Guard and the United States Army". The work on these is really beautiful. Check our Courney's display of her work by clicking on the flag below. |

| 3/08 | From VTI Gun Parts. Uberti has altered the design of the breech bolt on it's Henry, 1866 and 1873 models. From this date on, if you need to replace the breech bolt you will be buying not only a new bolt but several other conversion parts. The new parts consist of a breech bolt (#220097), firing pin extension (#240067), rear link pin (#200105 and a new part, a cam lever (#25000271.) The old parts by the same numbers (the first three only) are now obsolete and will no longer be sold. We'll soon be installing these in an 1866 to see what's involved and how it works; stay tuned for a full report. |
