Authentication Services for
Smith & Wesson Top-Break Revolvers

From a happy user of my authentication service. . .

In an e-mail to me dated 1/10/05:

Well, I didn't much care for what you had to say; but you sure told the story very well and very thoroughly. I'd have to give you an A+, and I don't give very many A+'s. Many thanks!!  RT

and later on 1/10/06, the same person writes in a letter to SWCA@yahoogroups.com:

I've just availed myself of the "Authentication Service" provided by David Chicoine. In a nutshell, he examines your gun and tells you if it is what it's supposed to be------and if it isn't, why it isn't. That nutshell doesn't do it justice.

He goes through the piece with a fine tooth comb----extra fine actually. He examines virtually everything, including things you never even thought of----or at least things I hadn't thought of. That done, your report is just as meticulously prepared and presented to you in your own little web site----for those who can't wait for the hard copy he also provides for you. This all comes with or without excellent photographs (your choice) illustrating what's right or wrong. The turnaround time can be measured with a watch ather than a calendar. In my case, it was less than a day.

Bottom Line: If you have questions, he has the answers. Now, you may not like the answers sometimes; but that's a story for another day. Ralph Tremaine
