10/21/05 via e-mail David, I wanted you to know I picked up a copy of your latest book yesterday, Antique Firearms Assembly/ Disassembly and I have not been able to put it down. This is the best reference work for older firearms disassembly I have ever seen, the way you have laid out the disassembly in photographic steps is perfect. Also, this is the first time I have ever seen any mention of how to take care of a loaded gun, a thoughtful and timely gun safety idea. Thank you! Joe Voss
10/23/05 via e-mail Good evening David, Just a quick note to let you know that my copy of your new book was successfully delivered with the morning's mail. Many thanks. I had the chance to quickly glance through it and was surprised and delighted to see the R&L Pepperboxes...not exactly mainstream firearms, however! I was delighted to see the section on the Colt Lightning Rifle, a favorite of mine when it comes to long guns...I've discovered it's hard to get any info about them. John Watts
10/31/05 via e-mail Dave, Received the new book on gunsmithing guns of the old west (Antique Firearms Assembly/ Disassembly.) Have spent the past few mornings reading it before going to work, and it's a beaut. I leave the major stuff to pros like you and Dave II, but I like to repair/detail clean my oldies-but-goodies when I can, and this book makes that so much easier. A thousand thanks, oh Gunsmith Guru. And I appreciate the inscription as well. A nice personal touch and I thank you for that. Skip Baker
