Shotguns For Sale
updated 9/27/08
| Parker Trojan Grade, 12 gauge double, serial #170397,
1915 mfg., pg, dt, extractor. 28" barrels have shiny
bores, with some light pitting in the first 6-8 inches
ahead of the chambers, remainder bright & clean,
choked .710" and .725" (Modifiied/IC) and have
2¾" chambers. The action and lock-up are as tight
as new. The Parker buttplate has been replaced with an
aftermarket, "plain-Jane" HR plate, LOP is 14
& 1/8". I believe this gun was professionally refinished some time ago. The metal retains about 98% bright, beautiful barrel blue (correct slow rust blue) with some minor (perhaps 2%) recent rust blems, 99% case colors (the colors are not Parker but are brilliant.) Barrel markings and rib knurling are excellent. All the markings are sharp and clear, serial on TG is faded. The wood has some light hunting scuffs and scratches but retains about 96% finish, the wood has not been oversanded and fits the metal perfectly. Plain HR pistol grip cap has turned brown. Wood surface finishes and checkering are truly excellent (checking has probably been professional re-cut.) FFL is required. very fairly priced at $1550.00! |

Remington & Winchester shotguns
| Lefever Nitro Special. Serial #273265, Ithaca manufactured 1929. 30" barrels, 12 gauge, excellent shiny bores, choked F/M, tight action. Wood is about VG with small chips missing from stock at both sides of the top lever, behind the fences. DT, PG, checkering worn but still good. Two holes drilled in barrel rib, neatly filled with plug screws. Action retains 60-70% case colors, barrels retain about 75% blue. FFL required new price! $300. ON HOLD | |
| Spencer Pump Shotgun, Bannerman Model 1890, 12 gauge, 28" barrel with strong damascus patterns and is largely still in its original brown finish. The Spencer was the world's first successful pump shotgun, when the Spencer company went bankrupt, the company was bought by Francis Bannerman who continued to sell the shotguns. The bore is lightly pitted but (for a black powder shotgun) good and the barrel has been cut from a longer length, no front bead. Receiver retains traces of original bright case colors and is turned mostly brown patina. The barrel and receiver have excellent markings. The walnut forearm is cracked and in need of repair, stock is sound with no cracks but has been sanded so the checking and circle patterns are quite worn down, checkered steel buttplate is about VG. Its massive action seems to operate perfectly. NRA Antique VG SOLD | |
| Belgian Royal Gun Works, "Modified Diana double shotgun, true side locks with external hammers.16 gauge laminated steel barrels are 32" long, choked M/M, the bores are pitted and it is off the face. Marked "Made in Belgium", the proofs indicate manufacture after 1898 and before 1923 (E and LG accompanied by crown, with Perron). Rebounding hammers and locks still work well, barrel lock-up is a bit loose. Action turned bright grey/brown, barrels retains about 75% brown and have good Damascus patterns. Wood is about good with worn checkering, PG, DT, hand-made leather buttplate, 14 ¼ LOP. This has the makin's of a great, lightweight black powder stage-coach gun! FFL or C&R is required. $250. |
