New Arrival: Smith & Wesson Model No. One, 1st issue~6th type .22, s/n 7937 comes with a factory letter indicating it was shipped September 1859 to J.W. Storrs in New York. This lovely little piece was professionally reblued and re-silvered to as original some years ago. Presently, the pistol has beautiful markings and mostly very crisp edges with approx. 90% somewhat tarnished and faded silver on the frame. With 95% or more of the case colors on the hammer and trigger, and retaining about 98% bright charcoal/nitre blue on the steel parts. This unique and rare little ante-bellum revolver is in fine working order and what is more; the gun is equipped with a fine set of checking, aged ivory grips that although slightly shrunken near the tops, still fit the pistol very nicely. $2595. (Please note; the frame appears more bronze than silver in the photos but this is only because of poor light conditions when the photos were taken, the color actually is silver-lightly tarnished and a few of the photos show this better than others.)
