Colt Lightning rifle, medium frame 38-40 caliber, s/n 82610 manufactured in 1898 (antique.) 26” octagon barrel has a somewhat pitted bore with clean and strong rifling. Externally the gun has good markings all over, the metal is all bright grey with no blue remaining, rampant Colt on left frame is thin but there. The action appears to work perfectly, we noted a couple of small dents in the magazine tube. The buttstock wood has been sanded just slightly undersized and it is quite sound, checkering has been removed from the forearm wood. Crescent buttplate. NRA Antique very good. $1299.00
