Colt 1851 Navy, Richards-Mason
conversion to .38 Rimfire, very
LOW s/n 133 has all matching numbers. Retains about 40-45%
original, flaked and worn nickel plate remainder gray patina with
pits. Heavy holster wear at muzzle and butt. The grips are sound,
original and worn. Very good barrel and other markings and it
retains most of the cylinder scene. The butt is inscribed with a
set of what look like departmental markings (J.P.D. No. 19.)
Replaced ejector head. Gate and base pin retain the fitters #90,
correct wedge is typically un-numbered. Excellent chambers, the
bore retains very strong rifling with the usual period pitting
but it is mostly sharp. Mechanically there is nothing to make
excuses for; everything works, the gun locks up very tightly and
the barrel/frame fit is excellent. Antique. $3295.
