The casing shown just below here is being built for the Smith & Wesson Model No. 2 Army revolver with a 6" barrel and is hand-crafted from solid Honduras mahogany cut almost 100 years ago. Fashioned in the style of the 1840-50's style boxes of a better grade than a standard, factory-offered casing, this is similar to those used on Colt Paterson and other antebellum period revolvers. The exterior is dark-red mahogany, finished in hand rubbed oil. The hardware is solid brass, the casing is equipped with a half-mortise lock and standard compartmentation. The interior is English fitted, similar to a lower photo on this page and is covered in purple velvet. The case comes with a hand-crafted hickory cleaning rod, brass tipped and made to hold our modern conveyances. The revolver is not included in the price but is available for sale.

The casing is scheduled for completion and will be ready for sale after Feb. 15, 2010. The finished price of this casing will be $1100.00 + shpg & insurance costs.
